This album is full of soaring strings, dramatic vocals, adoring lyrics. Very, very theatrical. Some of the lyrics are laughably bad, but there's an overall kind of cheesy, melodramatic, sappy romance thing going on here, so I don't think it takes itself all that seriously.

People on 1001albumsgenerator loathe this one, so I'm in the minority giving it anything over a three. The way I see it, what you see is what you get. See that guy on the cover, gazing out a rainy-ass window? Yup, that sums up what this album is. If you're looking for a lack of pretension, look elsewhere.
